They tell about us
Real joy comes not from ease or riches or from the praise of men, but from doing something worthwhile.Wilfred T. Grenfell
Many writers and thinkers have tried to define Freemasonry but it really defeats definition. It is too complex, too profound in conception, to be easily expressed in words. Perhaps the simplest and best definition of all is the phrase "the brotherhood of man under the fatherhood of God."Louis L. Williams
Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest fraternal organization. It is open to men who are at least 18 years old, of good moral character, and believe in the existence of a Supreme Being. It is open to men regardless of race, religion, nationality, or social standing.

History of
Our Beloved Lodge:
Some may consider us a secret society. Yet we don’t hide our purpose, our history, or our membership. Our constitution and regulations are open for all to see. Henry Knox Field No. 349 was chartered on February 12, 1925 and John Blair Lodge No. 187 was chartered on July 31, 1970. In the spirit of freemasonry and preserving both legacies, the lodges consolidated on January 1, 2018. The lodge is now headquartered at the Scottish Rite Temple, located on 1430 West Braddock Road, Alexandria, Virginia.
Why Join
Freemasonry?
Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest fraternal organization. It is open to men of 18 years old or older of any color, any religion, nationality or social standing, the only requirement is a belief in a Supreme Being. Its body of knowledge and system of ethics is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, faith, country, and Fraternity.
What is
a Masonic Lodge?
The word “Lodge” means both a group of Masons meeting together as well as the room or building in which they meet. Masonic buildings are sometimes called “temples” because the original meaning of the term was a “place of knowledge” and Masonry encourages the advancement of knowledge. Masonic Lodges usually meet once or twice a month to conduct regular business, vote upon petitions for membership, and bring new Masons into the Fraternity through three ceremonies called degrees.
2B1ASK
To become a member of this ancient and honorable Fraternity, a man must apply of his own free will and accord and with an open heart (2B1ASK).
Invitations are not issued to prospective members, nor are members solicited. If a person is interested in joining, he should ask a Masonic friend for more information.
Applicants must be men of good character who believe in a Supreme Being. To become a Mason one must petition a particular Lodge.
Meet our
Worshipful Master.
Worshipful J.D. Summers of Henry Knox Field John Blair Lodge epitomizes a steadfast commitment to Freemasonry, blending his fraternal expertise with the fraternity's timeless values. As a revered figure, he tirelessly fosters brotherhood, emphasizing education and upholding the lodge's traditions. Under JD Summers' leadership, the lodge stands as a beacon of Masonic principles, ensuring that the ancient landmarks are preserved with reverence, and the spirit of fraternity thrives in every interaction. His unwavering dedication ensures Henry Knox Field John Blair Lodge remains a bastion of tradition and enlightenment for generations to come.
The Craft
We are Henry Knox Field-John Blair Lodge No. 349, a great lodge for the Northern Virginia Freemason. We dedicate ourselves to our communities, our families, our lodge, and to each other in brotherhood.
Masonic Legacy
Hall of Past Masters
(LODGE LEADERSHIP)
Past Masters are Master Masons who have fulfilled a term as Worshipful Master of the Lodge. They have sacrificed much for the betterment of the fraternity. Their knowledge provides continuity within the craft. Without them, Masonry would not be same.
